Unexpected Trip to California...

We had to make an unexpected trip to California for my Grandma's Funeral. So Craig, Khloe and I boarded a plane to go to Grandma's funeral. Kimber & Kelsey stayed home with Craig's mom.
We are sorry to lose Grandma, but know that she is in a better place.

We miss our grandma, but are grateful for the legacy she has left us.
We had fun visiting with extended family whom we don't get to see very often. The funeral was very nice and we are glad we were able to go.

A visit from Dad...

Craig's dad, Bill and his wife, Peggy, came from Michigan to visit. The girls had a great time with their grandpa and grandma. We were able to do lots of fun things when Craig got off work.
The girls and grandma and grandpa...

We went to Kelsey's soccer game. This is her first season playing and she is loving it... She likes to run on the field, and then pose for pictures if she sees that mom has the camera out. (She will pose any time, any where, even if it's the middle of the game!) Go Cougars!!!
We went to the Spokane Fair with Grandpa, Grandma, Adam, Andrea & Heather. Adam and Andrea flew in to see Bill and Peggy. Heather drove up from BYU-I to spend the weekend visiting too.

We visited the Japanese Gardens at Manito Park with Grandma and Grandpa.
Kelsey & Khloe loved looking over the bridge to see the fish.

We went up to Greenbluff and ate pumpkin donuts at Harvest House.
The girls had so much fun playing in the "Amazing Maze".

The girls had to get their jammies on for bedtime and Ethan was over, so he got his "nightie"on too! He fits right in with our girls!
We had such a nice visit with Craig's dad and Peggy (even though Craig had to work most of the time! ugh). We are so glad that they were able to make the visit out.

Going to Kelsey-garten and Second Grade...

The first day of school....
Excitement in the air, it's the big day for the girls and they are VERY excited!!!
When it was time for Kimber to go to Kindergarten, she thought it was called "Kimber"garten. So that is what the girls called it for awhile. Now that Kelsey is going into Kindergarten, we call it "Kelsey"garten! I can't believe my little girl is in Kindergarten, where has all the time gone!
Kelsey, the Kindergartener...
Kimber the Second Grader...
Is Kimber really old enough to go to second grade? I can't believe she's in the second grade!
Backpack in hand...

Backpack with attitude!

Kelsey made it to school!

Khloe and I followed the bus to school (a tradition we do when our kids go to Kindergarten)! So we got to meet Kelsey at school and wish her luck on her very first day of big girl school! Khloe thought she should go to school too, so she carried her backpack around the house all day. She was so upset that she couldn't stay at school, she cried the whole way to the car! (Mommy got her a yummy cookie on the way home... don't know if it makes up for not getting to go to school, but Khloe loved it!)
Upon arrival at home, Kimber and Kelsey both reported that they had a GREAT day and that they love their teachers! Whew!!!
Then we went for ice cream to celebrate!

End of Summer Fun...

Chuck E. Cheese
(front row) Grady, Claire, Kimber
(back row) Kelsey, Khloe
For the end of summer, I wanted to take the kids somewhere fun. I babysit Grady and Claire, and have been since they were both 3 years old, now they are 5 and starting Kindergarten this school year. After this week, I won't be babysitting Claire anymore because she goes to a different school, but I still get to babysit Grady, (cuz he goes to the same school as Kelsey). So this was a sort of
'End of Summer/Babysitting Party'. Kelsey, Khloe, Kimber, Claire & Grady
(My kids...)
Khloe loves to ride the horses...

Kesley, turning the hands of time!

Kimber in the air...

We stayed for hours and everyone had tons of fun! (Even mom had fun!) I'm sure going to miss my Claire-bear!

Mobius Kids Museum

The girls read books for the Library Summer program and got free tickets to Mobius Kids Museum. So we called up our friends, the Mears, and headed downtown to the Museum. The girls had so much fun playing, exploring, dressing up, and using their imaginations. It was tons of fun!

After our 2+ hour stay at the Museum, we headed across the street to Red Robin for a yummy lunch! (Although by that time, the younger two were definitely ready for naps!)

Three little fish at Loon Lake...

Kimber, the fish...

Kelsey, the floater...

Khloe, the safe girl on the shore...

Kimber & Kels playing in the sand...

Our little Klo-Bo!
We had a great friday at Loon Lake with the Shogan's! The girls are such fish this year, especially Kimber. She doesn't even have to wear a life jacket this year, which is a big feat because last year she wouldn't go near the water without it! Kelsey loves when we go to the lake cuz she can munch out all day on goodies! She comes in from the water, grabs a handful of chips, cookies, or candy and heads right back out! Then there is Khloe, she just moves around the table of food and picks at everything! Then goes to play in the sand and comes back for more! And of course mom is the leader of the pack, munchin' on the food and visiting with friends.
We had a great time and are so lucky to have such great friends to share it with!
