We went to Granite Point at Loon Lake with some friends of ours. We were there all day on Friday and the girls had a blast! Kimber was a true fish, she was in the water 90% of the day. Kelsey had fun between the water and playing in the sand. And Khloe only went into the water when mommy was holding her, she had fun running around and playing in the sand as well. It was a great day to go, the weather was perfect and the company was even better! The only downfall to the whole day was that mommy got FRIED! Yes, I did my typical beginning of summer sunburn!

First Ball Game of the Season...
Otto, the mascot...
Craig's parents got season tickets to the Spokane Indians baseball games. So we took our little crew and went to the game! Craig and I thought we would only last a few innings, but the girls did great (as long as they got popcorn and soda) and we made it to the end of the game. The Indians won of course!
When Otto, the mascot, came out and danced in front of us on the field, Khloe didn't know what to think! So I told her that that was Otto and she quickly grabbed her sweater and put it over her head and face. I asked her what she was doing and she replied, "Otto, scarey!". But for the rest of the night she was ok with Otto as long as he was far away, she would point him out to us across the field and in the stands. One time she couldn't see him, so I told her Otto had to go potty. From then on, when she couldn't find him, she would say, "Otto go potty". It was quite funny! Overall, the baseball game was a hit and I think we will be going again this season!

Summer is Officially Here!
So today was Kimber's last day as a first grader! She had a fun day. I am so proud of her. She has done so well in first grade. She is an avid reader, a wonderful artist and very quick with numbers. Yes, I am the proud mom! Now summer can start....
Today, I got a wild urge to do something creative and productive. I decided on a whim to paint Khloe's room (soon to be Kimber's room) pink. I've actually been thinking about it since we moved here, 2 1/2 years ago... But today, I did it! I loaded the girls up in the car and drove to Home Depot, we picked out the paint, bought all the stuff to do it and headed home. It took me abuot 6 hours, I didn't think it was going to take that long!!! But I taped first, then went at it. And I have to say that my girls were so good today! They entertained themselves while mom was busy. Well, we had a couple of mishaps... Kelsey touched the wall to see if it was dry and found out it wasn't, wiping the paint on her shirt! Khloe walked in to check on me and stepped in the paint...and I stepped in the paint once while I was engaging myself in a phone conversation... not something to do while you are trying to paint! But it looks great, if I don't say so myself! Poor Khloe can't sleep in her room tonight, so she is sleeping with Kimber!

Scrapbooking Caught Up!
The Family Books...
The Girls Books...
I also pulled out my old scrapbooks that have been stored away for years and put them up on shelves so we can look at them. I have had so much fun looking through them! They go back to college days and even pre-Craig days. I have a total of 24 books, with 12 of them being since Craig and I have been dating and married life. The other 12 are of my college days, sorority days and such.
I just need to give a 'shout out' to all those great friends from my past! You have helped me make some great memories and for that I am thankful! Now I'm making great memories with my family too!
Scrapbooking is an awsome way to journal your life, thankgoodness I found out about it!
I just wanted to share that I am all caught up on my scrapbooking! Now, for those of you who don't know... I do 4 books a year! I do a book for each of my girls and one for our family. As of now, I am caught up on all the pictures I have taken. My girls get a new book each year that starts with their birthday. I keep them on shelves in their closets so they can pull them out anytime they want to look at them.

Jungle Night...
Mrs. Kristin & Kimber
Kimber's first grade class had a presentation tonight. The theme was Jungle Animals. Each of the students chose an animal and worked on a report about that animal for the past month. Kimber's animal was the Cheetah, she is quite the expert now! The kids wore animal costumes and sang Jungle songs and then the room was set up so they could tell facts about their animal as you went by their desks. It was very informative. Kimber was so animated while they sang; she danced, she performed, she sang out! I had at least four different mom's come up to me and tell me that they had a hard time watching their own kids, because they couldn't stop watching Kimber "perform"! She really did do a GREAT job! I think Kelsey and Khloe's favorite part of the night was eating cookies after the program!
